    Minimal Access surgery is the means  of performing major surgeries via small incisions as compare to larger incision needed in tradetional laparotomy, offen using specially design instruments and miniaturized, hitech imaging systems to minimize troma of surgical exposure.

    We keep a computerised prescription record of all medications dispensed for you while you are an in-patient. This allows us to check for any possible side-effects and drug interactions amongst your medications.
    Any unused or expired medications can be returned to the METAS Pharmacy for safe disposal.
    We are an accredited Quality Care pharmacy and will always endeavour to offer our patients the highest standard of pharmaceutical care.  

     

    Dispensing Services

    A full clinical and dispensing service is offered for inpatients, Doctor’s and the general community including the following prescriptions:
    Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (staff only)
    Private prescriptions  

     

    Inpatient Services

    The Inpatient dispensary is fully recognised by the Department of Health and the Health Insurance Commission and is responsible for the supply of all medications necessary to meet the needs of the Hospital’s patients.
    The METAS Adventist Hospital pharmacy team is committed to ensuring that all patients are fully informed about their medications.
